Glory Gallore/Myth ?

Yesterday, I was watching the Finals of Asia Cup 2010 between India and Sri lanka. India won and received loads of applauses yet again. Which reminds me of the last match where they lost the match with same team miserably. And no body remembered the loss.

Once in an ODI match, Dhoni made century after escaping enumerable chances of being caught. The commentators later made a very meticulous statement saying "Dhoni wont be known for his ticket-to-pavilion escapes but for all the records he ever made !".

Isn't it the same in all the fields ? Be it Bollywood where stars are not remembered for their behind-the-scene controversies (though sometimes to cast light on brighter side negating those controversies by justifications), but for the hits they made and the struggle they endured to get to the pinnacle.

Or, be it politics. Even though a politician has never done a remarkable deed all his life time, his stooges would point out the Garibi hatao Andolan (where he & the sycophants worked to improve their Garibi) as staff to hoist the flag of benevolence.

Food for Thought: Should we follow the same league or should we find a new way, where virtues don't sell ?
