Snapshots  from Hell falls under the genre of Business/ Biography. The book is journal of Peter Robinson, a fresher at Stanford Business School. In this funny communion of latent truth about MBA classes, Peter packs our minds to his journey to leap beyond his classmates’ excellence and making a living for him. Peter Robinson has presented an average student point of view on how he manages to get hold of the nitty gritty of the daily life.
The story intelligently begins with Peter Robinson having a walk with the President, thus capturing our attention from page one, where in they discuss why he should or should not go to the Stanford. He outweighs business against Law, Politics, and Journalism and gives a logical reason for him to do an MBA. Peter brilliantly defends an MBA for a mantra to a life filled with pleasure and luxury.
However, once in class, where there is an evident disparity between people like Peter and Poets of the class (who excel).Peter feels suffocated in the first few weeks, lamenting of the scarcity of life in the big campus. Owing to his last job, he has been oblivious to the world of numbers since his school, hence Peter feels lost. He tries his best gaining momentum in the Math world. . He tries to befriend others like him but slips miserably Snapshots from Hell speaks of his struggle within the classroom and his hostel (which he calls it as a dark hole)
From the hard toil for the exams, to the transformation from shorts-to-business casuals, Peter in his journal, writes for those who dream of pursuing an MBA, this book helps you  learn about the various nuances of the course. Questions like 1) Why should one do an MBA? and 2)What can be expected of the much-hyped MBA schools is very well presented. What sets this books apart is the illustrations and the language which is not layman yet appealing. Peter takes us to his class room, to his hostel and even to the examination hall. A reader would feel like Peter’s shadow .

Sometimes it's just your day !

Hey all, tell me have you ever come across a feeling like: "May be this wasn't my day" or "May be this was my day" ? We all believe in Luck, how often we might speak of the famous quote
“Genius is 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration!”.

You might also have come across many experiences you have witnessed to corroborate the fact that luck is one factor along with your efforts which work wonders even when you had moments of doubt.

I was watching FIFA World Cup between Uruguay and Germany yesterday, and was wondering why Germany couldn't make even one goal in the Semi-Finals. Or, remember the Placement seasons during College? Whatever you did (even cheating in the Apt test), but you couldn't make it if it wasn't your day.

So dearies, work hard of course but leave the rest to your luck. Believe in the saying that, "The more I work hard, the more lucky I become." But also believe that sometimes it's just your day !

Why is America the superpower, why not India?

Why is America the superpower, why not India?

America is the strongest nation in the world,we all have to agree without a trace of doubt.

Yes,true. Why not India, the superpower instead?question is quite obvious but seems silly and makes us all laugh.

Lets look at the reasons that took away India’s place of being the superpower:

1.Malicious Political system and bureaucracy :MLA contestant spends about Rs. 10-50 crores for one election.when he comes to power, his first goal is to recover that money, next is to make money for next election and next is to make money for his family and then generations to come.plight of the people will never be in their mind to worry about. If a good person/administrator is incapable of rigging ,maintaining rowdies, pouring money during election, he’s sure to get defeated. So it’s bastards who wear white and white and make it to the palatial abode.what good can you expect of them?
There are not less than a thousand political parties here.mostly it’s a coalition government which is coming to power off late. They spend most of their time and Govt’s money in accusing each other and protecting their own chair.they don’t have much time either for the country or for their countrymen

Not to talk of bureaucracy, officials are so corrupt that they are only bothered about making money.

India being a Democratic country, political system and Bureaucracy stands at the top of the list to lead the country to growth and this is playing a foul play which is devastating.

2. Not Retaining talent:36% of American scientists and Doctors are Indians. Why do they go to America?Very simple, they din’t find in India, what they want.India has failed to retain talent which America has succeeded to lure talent from across the oceans

3. non-conducive atmosphere for Entrepreneurship :America contributes the highest percentage to the world economy. 80% of the companies in US are small companies/start ups.this is because investment environment is conducive for that in America.Investment practices are not well suited for start ups in India.Entrepreneurship has to catch up in India.

4. Inefficient Judiciary system:the lawsuit of Bhopal gas tragedy which happened in 1983 was concluded in 2010 ! many cases take generations to conclude and many others do not get concluded. Even if they do get concluded,to what extent they are just?lawyers, judges can be bought here, law can be bought, witnesses can be bought here;truth can be made lie and lie can be made true.Eyes of law statue are tied with cloth, law is blind!money and power can turnaround law here

5. Poverty and Unemployment :more than 50% of India’s population is below poverty line. In most cases it goes to such an extent that one person can tear away the flesh of the other if his week’s expenditure is paid.India’s strength lies in the number of people it has got and many of them are unproductive contributing nothing to India’s growth but taking away everything for their survival

6. Diversity in diversity : India is rightly called as a subcontinent.Diverse set of people, castes, regions, religions, climate… exist here which is good in a way but more than doing good it has harmed the country’s growth.so many internal clashes based on religion ,caste, region, power are not uncommon.”Unity in Diversity” is a phrase which is only found in textbooks!

7. Lack of access to info:70% of India’s population live in rural India.even the so called urban dwellers are unable to afford for Internet connection because of it’s cost. Not to speak of its rural counterparts, they don’t have any form of good information sources.

8. Population Explosion:so much of money is being spent in facilitating basic amenities for India’s enormous population. More than becoming a boon to the country’s growth,It’s population has turned out to be a curse

9. militant activities : There are so many militant activities that happen near India’s borders and has spread to cities recently. Nearly 25% of India’s budget is allocated to defence which is hindering growth to some extent.

People of our motherland,India also have to blame themselves for electing such a pathetic government, tolerating such judiciary system, being part of internal clashes, supporting corruption, etc etc

So, to boast of India being a superpower,it’s not enough to write the phrase in bold or to imagine India’s flag at the top but the systems forming the motherland have to be pecked at from their grassroots!!!
